Your learning progress is stored locally on your device, while optional account features use secure authentication through Sign in with Apple. What Data We Store

Polly stores the following data locally on your device:

• App Preferences: Your settings such as selected languages and display preferences

If you create an account, we also store the following data on our secure servers:

• Apple ID Identifier: A unique identifier provided by Sign in with Apple (not your actual Apple ID email unless you choose to share it)
• Username: The display name you choose for your profile
• Online Progress: Your learning progress synced across devices when signed in

What We Don't Collect

Polly follows a strict minimal data collection policy. We do not collect:

• Your real name, phone number, or age (unless you choose to share your email via Sign in with Apple)
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Device identifiers (UDID, IDFA, advertising IDs)
• Usage analytics, metrics, or tracking data
• Biometric data (Face ID, Touch ID data)
• Audio recordings or microphone access
• Contact lists or calendar information
• Data from third-party sources or social media
• Network activity or browsing history

Optional Account & Sign in with Apple

Polly offers optional account creation to enable online features. You can use the app without an account, but signing in unlocks additional functionality.

• Sign in with Apple: We use Sign in with Apple for secure, privacy-focused authentication. Apple provides us with a unique identifier - your actual email is only shared if you explicitly choose to share it.
• Username: You can set a custom username for your profile. This is the only personal identifier you provide directly to us.
• No account required: You can still use core learning features without creating an account. Account creation is entirely optional.

Data Storage

Local Storage: Your learning progress and app preferences are stored locally on your device. When you delete the Polly app, this local data is permanently removed.

Cloud Storage: If you create an account, your Apple ID identifier, username, and synced progress are stored on our secure servers. You can request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.

In-App Purchases

Polly offers a one-time in-app purchase:

• Polly Lifetime ($19.99): A one-time purchase that unlocks all premium features forever

Purchase Processing: All transactions are processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or process payment information. Apple handles all billing, receipts, and refunds according to their policies.

Family Sharing: In-app purchases support Apple's Family Sharing feature, allowing family members to share purchases while maintaining privacy protection.

Children's Privacy & COPPA Compliance

Polly is designed to be safe for users of all ages and fully complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), GDPR Article 8 (child protection), and other international children's privacy laws.

• Account data: If you have an account, you can request deletion of your server-side data (Apple ID identifier, username, synced progress) by contacting us
• Sign out: You can sign out of your account at any time within the app settings
