- Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) Token: Used to send push notifications to your device

- API Endpoints: URLs and endpoints you configure for monitoring
- Monitoring Configuration: Alert thresholds, check frequency (as often as every minute), and notification preferences
- Response Data: HTTP status codes, response times, headers (no response body content)
- Performance Metrics: Uptime percentages, average response times, error frequencies
- Alert History: Notification logs and incident tracking
2.3 Device and Technical Data
- Device Information: Device type (iOS/Android), operating system version, app version
- Usage Analytics: Feature usage patterns, session duration, monitoring activity
- Technical Data: Crash logs, error reports, performance metrics
2.4 Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on legitimate interest to provide, maintain, and improve our monitoring service. For personal information like name and email, we rely on your consent when you provide this information to receive monitoring services.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Endpoint Monitoring: We ping your specified endpoints as frequently as every minute to check their availability and performance status
- Real-time Alerts: Send immediate push notifications (via FCM) and email alerts when endpoint issues are detected or resolved
- Performance Tracking: Store monitoring data to provide historical performance metrics and uptime statistics
- Service Management: Maintain your account settings, monitoring configurations, and notification preferences
- App Improvement: Analyze usage patterns to enhance the monitoring service and user experience
4. Data Storage and Security
Firebase Cloud Storage: All personal information, monitoring configurations, and performance data are securely stored in Google Firebase with enterprise-grade security measures including:
- Encryption in transit and at rest
- Access controls and authentication
- Regular security audits and monitoring
- Compliance with Google Cloud security standards
Data Location: Data is stored in Firebase servers located in the United States with global redundancy for reliability and performance.
Data Retention: Personal data and monitoring configurations are retained while your account is active. Historical monitoring data is kept for up to 12 months for performance trends. All data is permanently deleted within 30 days of account deletion.
5. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing
We use the following third-party services:
- Google Firebase: Data storage, authentication, and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
- Email Services: Secure email delivery for monitoring alerts and notifications
Important: We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes or share it with marketing partners. Data is used exclusively for app functionality and service delivery.
6. What We Don't Do
- No Data Selling: Your personal information and monitoring data are never sold, shared, or provided to third parties for commercial purposes
- No Advertising: We don't use your data for advertising purposes or share it with marketing partners
- No Unnecessary Tracking: We only collect data that's essential for app functionality - no behavioral tracking or profiling
- No API Response Body Storage: We do not store API response body content, authentication tokens, or sensitive data from your monitored APIs
7. Your Rights (GDPR, CCPA, and Other Privacy Laws)
You have complete control over your data. Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request information about data we process and view all data we have collected about you
- Update: Modify your contact information and monitoring preferences at any time
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Portability: Request monitoring configurations and data in a portable format
- Opt-out: Disable push notifications while maintaining monitoring services
- Non-discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights

8. International Data Transfers
Data is stored in Google Firebase servers primarily located in the United States. International transfers are governed by Google's data processing agreements and adequate protection mechanisms that comply with GDPR and other international privacy regulations.
9. Data Breach Procedures
In the unlikely event of a data security incident, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities within 72 hours as required by applicable law, and provide clear information about the incident, potential impact, and remedial actions taken.
10. Children's Privacy
API Monitor is not intended for use by children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. Material changes will be communicated through the app, email notification, or this page with at least 30 days advance notice. Continued use of the app constitutes acceptance of changes.
